Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation Review (Most EXPENSIVE foundation I purchaseD to date $80)

Really I am not so much a brand girl or I don’t usually go for high end product doesn’t matter if it’s skin care, makeup or even fashion stuff…. However, if it something worth the money I pay for I would… Especially over the years through my experience i found that what you pay is what you get! I now appreciate high end product more because they do give high end result but not all of them is only a few. Just before I got hook in Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation, I jump into Channel ship. I still love that foundation and I switch between Channel & Giorgio Armani ones. You can read my review on Channel Perfection Lumière Velvet Foundation here. Honestly Channel is not cheap either but Giorgio Armani is much more expensive….

I got the Giorgio Armani mainly because I really like it’s glowy finishing and also the SA in Changi Airport is really helpful…. He explain in details how this foundation works and help match my skin tone. It is really important to have someone to explain in details how a specific product works, totally make my shopping experience more pleasurable. So if you are a brand owner make sure you hire a good sales assistant ya….Now let me go deep into the foundation on each aspect.

Introduction

This light weight foundation is formulated with micro-fil technology, producing a low-density product that pairs high-impact pigments with weightless texture. Inspired by the silk shantung worn by kings and emperors, this foundation glides seamlessly onto the skin leaving a finish that’s reminiscent of charmeuse silk.

Packaging

I like that minimal and simple design of the bottle with Giorgio Armani logo stamp in the middle. The frosted jar look really expensive and hold it feel luxurious totally worth the expensive price tag. It has a pump dispenser which is great for clumsy person like me…. and it’s best dispensing method when I am in a rush….

Texture & Scent

Scent wise it’s pretty normal cosmetic perfume scent, i think you get what I mean because I am not so good in explaining scent lol…. Texture wise , it’s really lightweight like what it says and has really silk finish with medium glow I would say. It’s not really super glowy and not oily nor greasy at all. I really like that the finishing is not too glowy and not too matte… It’s like in between and this is the type of foundation I like.

Cindy’s Thought

I really really love this and I wouldn’t mind using it everyday but because it’s so good I kind of wanna keep and save it for longer time so I only use it on special occasions only. The light weight and silky formula is the one that got me hook… Whenever I put this foundation on people compliments on my skin…  It has a medium coverage and can be build up without being cakey… Though it has silky formula but it is not greasy or oily at all… If you want it to be more matte just apply loose powder on it which I always do since I have combination skin. If you have dry skin you might want to apply loose powder only on the T-zone area.  The finishing is a little like glowing and velvet combination as well… Look so so flawless and it lasted for a good 6 hours minimum. For price wise yes it’s expensive but it worth every cent I paid! I will repurchase it if I going to Singapore (aparently its the cheapest among all country).

So here is how it look on my face…

Taken with natural day light, this look I put extra glow using Becca highlighter because I am doing that JLO glowing tan look!

This second look is in my room with fluorescent lighting, it look really luminous right?

Alright girls, that’s all from me today. Let me know if you also have tried this yourself k? chow….
