Ramadan is around the corner and as usual, it’s all about berbuka puasa to all the delicious spread of local delicacies. The KL Journal Hotel will be having “Selera Malaya” buffet of quintessential Malaysian dishes (current and classic) at their very own Kedai Kopi Journal.

The spread is filled with notable delicious dishes including Signature Fish Head Curry, Ikan Pari Asam Pedas, Signature Beef Rendang, Ayam Kapitan & Percik, Kambing Masak Kurma, Soto Ayam & Seafood Tom Yam, Otak-otak Muar, Assorted Kuih,Lok-lok Stop, Ulam-ulaman counter, Rojak Buah, Pasembur, Assorted Keropok Counter, and Chocolate Fountain.
This year Kedai Kopi Journal is adding “Lok-Lok Stop” replete with 30 over of skewer choices and cooked in either clear broth, tomyam, peanut sauce or grilled/fried! This is really something unique and I really enjoy this new addition. I recommend to go with the tomyam broth for that extra kick!
Really love the choices in the Lok Lok section especially when they have quail egg!
The satay meat is really tender and I like that there’s not too much fat mostly lean meat.
If you are craving some flavourful sweet drink, the drink also come in a buffet spread. Pick your favourite!
I would recommend going for the thick and aromatic rendang and also the fragrant curry fish head!
Cendol is a must to cleanse the palate.
