Urban Decay Pulp Fiction Launch in Sephora Malaysia, Overview & Brief Review

Alright Urban Decay fans or I should say Pulp Fiction Movie fans, they are making a come back by sneaking into the beautiful Urban Decay Palettes, Lipstick, Eyeliner, Mascara as well as nail polish too. The whole range was inspired by Mrs. Wallace makeup in the movie during the 90s. Recreate Mrs Mia Wallace dark and edgy look will using the limited edition “ PULP FICTION” collection. So today, I will give a little sneak peak of the collection so you can get a glimpse of how it look like and be ready to get your hand on them at Sephora near you today after your work!!! So tell your boss you need to leave on time and make sure you maximise your time to finish everything as early as possible!! Or sneak out during lunch!! sssshhhh don’t say I told you this okie? *shake pinky finger*

I tell you whenever there Limited Edition from Urban Decay it’s a must have session. I was lucky to be invited to the Urban Decay Pulp Fiction Workshop With Steve Kassajikian. They are many other attendees and I was quite early so manage to grab a seat while many has to stand.

Steve Kassajikian, US Brand ambassador for Urban Decay, believes makeup is the greatest form of self-expression and loves spending days transforming people. I was lucky to be able to witness three transformation Steve made that day. He complete the transformation in less than 15 minutes!! That was fast!

Now how you achieve that look?? Simple, just follow these step! Steve show us all the below step on the model and it look pretty simple!

During the workshop, Steve share with us some of his favourite Urban Decay product like the famous NAKED Palette, Naked Skin and also the Primer Potion!! Have you get your hands on any of these? Just before the workshop end they gave the fan some quiz and those lucky ladies who can answer the quiz win home some awesome Urban Decay Product!!

Urban Decay is a diehard fan of “PULP FICTION”, now you can guess their age don’t you? This year marking the twentieth anniversary of the release of the film, Urban Decay decided to commemorate the occasion the UD way—with an ultra limited-edition “PULP FICTION” collaboration. Their inspiration? None other than the cool (and completely badass) Mrs. Mia Wallace. This collection has everything you need to recreate Mia’s dark, edgy look from the film, including this limited-edition palette.

“PULP FICTION” Eyeshadow Palette

It contains five shades of Eyeshadow with three brand new colours. Each shade features our Pigment Infusion System™, the proprietary blend of ingredients that gives every shade its velvety texture, rich colour, serious staying power and blendability. It comes packaged in a shiny black case which features the fateful Ezekiel passage voiced by Jules Winnfield in the film. Inside, there’s a generous mirror and a blood-red double-ended brush (a compact shadow brush and a multitasker brush) which is useful if you are travelling. You don’t have to worry if you are an absolute beginner, as in this palette it comes with a “Get the Look” card—with step-by-step instructions for creating a modern version of Mia’s look from the film.

Below are the swatch and from swatching on my arm i can feel the matte are a little chalky compare to the satin ones! I do think this is a very versatile palettes that can be used to create basic nude or earthy look or even create the dark smoky colour. The colour can match all skin tone well except tyranny which will be less visible on dark skin tone.

Righteous (light cream matte), Tyranny (warm brown matte), Vengeance (deep taupe-brown matte-satin), Furious (white satin) and Anger (black satin w/slight tonal sparkle).

“PULP FICTION” 24/7 Glide-On Lip Pencil

It has creamy, waterproof formula that applies smoothly, prevents feathering and lasts all day. Just draw lines to define your lip and then fill in your lips to help prime them for lipstick or gloss.  It contains Vitamin E, jojoba oil and cottonseed oil that help to nourish the skin and ensure a smooth application.

The colour is really pigmented and opaque on my arm.. It’s really easy to draw on….

“PULP FICTION” Revolution Lipstick

Revolution Lipstick inspired by Mrs. Mia Wallace comes in a deep blood red shade. This shade featured the Pigment Infusion System™ for insane colour payoff with creamy shine. Maxi-Lip™ plumps and nourishing oils leave lips cushiony soft. To make it even more covetable, this shade comes in a limited-edition, jet-black lipstick case version.

I have not swatch this lipstick but since it is similar to their other Revolution lipstick I think this is equally good!

“PULP FICTION” 24/7 Velvet Glide-On Eye Pencils

More powdery than their original 24/7 Eye Pencils, 24/7 Velvet blends easier to create soft, smoky edges. Get perfectly blended-out or rich, defined lines with this liner. 24/7 Velvet is the ultimate liner for doing a smoky, rimmed eye (or whenever you want a look that’s more matte and soft).

I had try them out on my top lash line, it does create soft matte finishing but it’s not as smooth as the original one and can get powdery when drawing causing some fallouts on lower lid.

“PULP FICTION” Perversion Mascara

I had not try this mascara yet but this will be on my wishlist!! I really thought of buying it!! But I’m on a shopping ban.. Anyone wanna buy me a birthday present??

The full-size bottle comes with a limited-edition, jet-black cap and holds 10 ml of nail polish. (And you’ll wear this timeless red forever.)

I honestly love the unique cap design but I’m not a fan of blood red nail polish because this colour tends to make me look older!!
