Unique Experiences to Make the Most of Your Biloxi Vacation

Sharkheads

Take souvenir hunting up a notch at Sharkheads on Biloxi Beach. The shop is the largest gift store on the Gulf Coast. You can’t miss the huge pink building on Beach Boulevard. When you arrive, walk through the 32-foot tall shark head on your way into the store. Airbrush artists are always on hand to personalize t-shirts, baseball caps, and pretty much anything else you want painted.

The shop is family-owned and offers homemade fudge. Take home traditional flavors such as chocolate and praline or limited editions like strawberry cheesecake and watermelon. Small pets are invited to shop with you, too, if you can carry them.

Mary Mahoney’s Old French House

An elegant dinner at Mary Mahoney’s Old French House is a must for shrimp and lobster lovers who visit Biloxi. The menu includes mouthwatering dishes such as Shrimp and Trout Imperial and lobster tails. Dine outdoors in the courtyard complete with a rustic brick patio surrounded by lush oak trees and ferns.

Savor your meal in a home rich in Biloxi history, as the building was erected in 1737. Since opening the restaurant in 1962, Mary Mahoney has welcomed celebrity chefs like Emeril Lagasse and Paula Deen.

Margaritaville Resort & Hotel

In Biloxi, Margaritaville is more than your favorite laid-back bar. Stay past happy hour and reserve a contemporary room for the weekend. Climb the volcano rock wall, relax in the lazy river pool, and enjoy a cocktail at the swim-up bar.

Stay near the beach to be close to Biloxi’s unique attractions. If Margaritaville isn’t your style, there are plenty of hotels to choose from on Beach Boulevard. You can compare and book Biloxi hotel rooms with Hotel Planner. A few choices to check out are the Beau Rivage Hotel and Casino and Hyatt Place Biloxi.

Tien

Continue your culinary journey through Biloxi at Tien, which is an upscale Asian fusion restaurant in the IP Casino. Order from the Teppanyaki or Shabu Shabu menus. Teppanyaki chefs cook your meal tableside on a hibachi grill. When you choose a Shabu Shabu meal, you swish thin slices of meat in boiling broth and then add a variety of tasty sauces.

Ohr-O’Keefe Museum of Art

When you pull up to the Ohr-O’Keefe Museum of Art, you can see it’s not a typical museum. The geometric structure of buildings communicates a funky vibe. Inside, explore pottery created by George Ohr. Ohr’s ceramic art is colorful and fun. You wouldn’t know Ohr did his work during the stuffy 19th century. You’ll see why Ohr called himself the “Mad Potter of Biloxi” when you view his artwork. Try your hand at creating ceramics during an interactive pottery workshop.
