Sofitel Macao at Ponte 16 Hotel Review
We arrived Macao pass midnight and was extremely tired…. Basically we didn’t really pay attention to anything surrounding us as we were too tired exploring Hong Kong during the day. However, arriving in Sofitel lived up our tiring mind. We took bus no 3A to Ponte 16, about 8stops if not mistaken from the Outer Terminal Ferry. The famous St Paul Ruins and Ah Ma temple is only walking distance from Sofitel, how convenient. As we walk down from our bus, we were greeted with a huge shining crystal ball. It look so grand and beautiful…..Totally light up the entire area…
we took a escalator up and we were greeted with an array or orchids and hydrangea…..Ahhhh how lovely and calming it is…. I feel really relaxed while I wait for the staff to process our check in documents.
The lobby look really grand and whimsical…. Look at the hanging lights across the waiting area with these purple orchid and pink hydrangea.
The lighting on the ceiling look so mesmerizing…
Then we proceed to our room, as we walk to the lift we found this really unique lift buttons… The lift button is not attached to the wall but on a separate column by itself….
Moving to our suite, I never expect the suite can be this huge and the living room is really comfortable…
The suite has all basic necessities covered and most importantly bath tub is in the roommmm…weeehoooo……
The shower and toilet is separated too…. There is total two bath room, one in the room and one near the living hall…
Now let us jump right it to soak in the bath tub….This time I am rather generous and so I place the whole bath bomb in the tub hoping for a milky rainbow bath…
Done soaking, I shall move on to have beautiful shower….. I am so excited when I see that they are using toileteries from Hermès… Like seriously?? I take a closer look and wowed…..It’s real… It has a really nice citrusy scent… Love it…
After a good shower, all I need is to dry my hair and go for a good sleep on this thick and comfy bed….
For those who want to chill watching tv can also sit on the bed to relax over TV or if you are worried that you will disturb your partner then can watch TV in the living hall too…
Next morning I wake up feeling really fresh and recharged….
and walk to the window side to checkout the magnificent view..
Morning is blessed with such majestic view…
So I am ready to head down for a nice and delicious breakfast… The breakfast spread really does not disappoint from healthy salads to american breakfast, Hong Kong Dimsum, pastries and fruitsss. All of them taste really good…
The pastries is extremely good… Love it so much…
I love the sitting area, it gives me feeling like I am having a breakfast at some kind of English restaurant….. I also love the colour of the sofas, it makes be happy looking at it..
Some of my food selection from the breakfast spread…. My best pick are the pastries, Hong Kong Dimsum, Egg Benedict ant Yogurts…
The swimming pool is located just beside the breakfast area, you can have a fance breakfast by the pool!!
After the breakfast, I walk out to the balcony area and I was rewarded with the beautiful waterfront view….Really stunning and breath taking view over Macao waterfront.
Its quite windy out here too…
