Christian Dior Rosy Glow Healthy Glow Awakening Blush

When I first look at this blusher during Christian Dior Store launch in Mid Valley, my heart were captured by the bright pink blusher palette… It’s so lovely and beautiful but I thought ermm the colour a little too pretty bright but still I love to try it out on my face…. The staff told me the colour actually will look very natural as it will changes depends on the face temperature giving a natural flush on the cheek. So I was pretty happy that the colour will not turn out overly bright… So before I go into the review of the blusher I love to share some of the picture of me at the launch at Christian Dior because I had heaps of fun time catching up with friends and also trying out all Dior product. Their new store setup is amazing especially the perfume corner!

Now let me bring you to closer look of the blusher…. Just look at the packaging, it’s undeniably beautiful!! It doesn’t requires more wordsss… Pictures will do the talking!!!

The blusher has embossment of Dior logo, it’s just too lovely!

I was blown away by the details and luxurious packaging of this blusher….really… I keep this for almost two months before using it because it is too pretty to be even lightly sweep with my brush. As for the finishing effect on my face I was not really that blown away…. It’s said to give a natural pinched rosy glow on the cheeks. It has a unique formula that will adjust to your skin’s natural chemistry to create a unique shades. This means this blusher will turn out in different shade on different cheeks. So what you see on me may not be the same colour finish on your cheek. Therefore it only comes in one shade Petal #001. It has a very light rose scent but it was not the rose scent I prefer but it still smell lovely just not as great as other rosy scent I love. Now let me show you how it look on my cheek.

It does really look natural on my face exactly like if I pinched my cheek. However,  I was not really that blown away by it entirely…. May be it just look natural but it sort of lack of the glow I looking for. Below is the swatch on my hand.. It look pretty matte in cool pink when I swatch on my hand although it actually have a very light sheen when the light hit on it. When on my cheek it look like a sweet pink and I find the powder is very fine but can be a little bit chalky…. In comparison to my another high end blusher Hour Glass Ambient Lighting Blusher, i find the Hourglass one is more smooth and less chalky in texture..  This Dior blusher does last quite long for almost 8 hour on running here and there in a event. Also, I find it hard to apply as on first swipe it look too light then I sweep on again and it become too much after a while… I think you need to give it a minute or so for it to settle with the colour. So I suggest just one swipe then wait for a minute if you feel it’s too light then go with one more swipe… Sometime when weather is hotter the colour is more intense too!!

It is priced at RM 150 and i think it’s quite well priced given the beautiful packaging but the size is only half of the entire casing which means it’s quite little..but it doesn’t really matter to me because I can never finish my blusher. As for result wise if you fancy a natural blusher that does not have any shimmer then you can go for this…. If you need some extra glow I suggest you look for other for instant the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blusher or even the Nars Orgasm or Mac Blusher (not sure on the shade though).

I think I will end this short review post.
