Light Weight Day Moisturiser for Summer
Ok a side note, mostly in my post I select gel type moisturizer which is more suitable for combination to oily skin (oily on T-zone and normal on the rest of the face). If you have very dry skin you might need to try those light-weight cream moisturiser…. Now let’s begin!!!
On top of my list will be Laneige Water Bank Gel Cream, RM 130 for 50ml!! This is hands down my favourite moisturiser currently!!! It gives that cooling sensation and leaves a smooth and dewy finish on my skin… Non sticky, not greasy and not oily at all…. It last for good 7 hours before my sebum produce some oils… Even I wear it at night before I went to bed, I only turns slightly oily the next morning. I do not sleep in air-conditioned room, only switch on for 30minutes or so and switch off before I fell asleep… My skin don’t feel dry in fact very moisturized… However I am not sure if this suits you, if you have a slightly dry skin… one thing though it had a mild alcohol scent which might not be pleasant to some!
Next up will be Biotherm Aquasource Gel Moisturizer, RM 140 for 50ml which is not in above picture… I finished it and the jar already went into my dustbin….and unfortunately I have not got anytime to blog about it…. As far as I remember this is one of my favourite gel moisturiser two years back… It was quite pricey so I did not repurchase but this does not leave a cooling sensation behind and not as smooth as Laneige too…. It has a more pleasant scent than Laneige one, the marine scent which is my favourite!!
The third will be the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel Water, RM 59.90 for 50ml. Okay this is a cheaper option for those who don’t want to splurge… This gel work pretty well on my skin and doesn’t cause any breakout… It actually help heal my acne skin.. There’s a period where my skin suddenly grow so many acne that I have never seen except during schooling time…. I was using a cream moisturiser before that as it doesn’t feel greasy but I am not sure if this is the main reason that cause my skin to breakout but ever since I use this gel moisturizer and with the help of Cellnique Sebum Gel, my acne is gone and my skin is back to normal… This gel feels light but not s light as the Laneige ones….It does leave my skin feeling dry and moisturised… Sad thing is, my T-Zone turns oily when it hit 3hours…. This means it maybe more suitable for those with normal skin as in non oily in T-Zone…
Next is this from Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Oil-Free Gel Cream, RM 100 for 50ml. This one is not too bad too…and it’s in the middle range in term of pricing… As per advertised it say the gel cream will leave your skin feeling smooth and cool… I don’t find it leaving skin smooth and dry though..In fact I feels it’s a little bit tad oily for me…. I feel sticky when first apply and it still feels greasy too… If you have combination to dry skin this will be the one for you!! It’s scentless and free from paraben, silicone free, fragrance free and oil free and animal testing so if you against animal testing this is for you!
Another one would be this OXY Oil Control Mattifying Gel, RM 16.90 for 30ml . This gel give the most matte finishing and smoothest among all the moisturiser I featured in this post. If you have dry skin on the cheek just apply this on your nose are to control the oil production…. So if you planning to go out to the beach you can apply you daily moisturiser on cheek and chin area and apply this gel on your T-zone… It also act like primer that fills up all your pores leaving a smooth finish… The only set back is it has those strong antibacterial wash scent like the one in Dettol.
Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel with SPF 30, RM66.50 for 40ml. Another bargain buy and this comes with SPF so you can skip the sunblock!! It provide hydration skin needed but it’s still bit too oily for me…… Even it have sunblock in it but I don’t quite like to use it on daily basis!! However, I love the scent and the refreshing gel texture…. It’s more oily than the Hydro Boost Gel Water but have has similar texture just when apply on face it feels more oily!
That’s all from me today!! Happy TGIF!! see you again next Monday!!

I wanted to try the Oxy mattifying gel but after reading a number of reviews I decided not to risk my skin with it, hehe! some people got bad breakouts using this and i suspect my skin has the same tendency like them.

Wow, so hardworking that you're posting even from your vacation! I'm sure you're having a blast knowing how much you love to travel. Bangkok post soon?
I'm using the Kiehl's Oil-Free Gel and it's working fine for me! I like how it actually seems to act like a primer by smoothing out my skin so that makeup goes on more easily.
