Shade in Review: Lip Lover

Come packed in the standard metal finish boxed like all other Lancôme product did, it sure did maintain it’s classy look.

The classy shinning glossy metal tube win my heart over all the lip glosses I had in my stash. It gives a clean cut of a framed window opening for a peek into the colour of the gloss underneath the metal finishing wall. The Lancôme logo is carved below the push button assuring it’s identity.

The adorable push button to open and click to close is utterly chic and it’s so convenient and fun to use.

With this design, the gloss will not stuck on the screw threading of the conventional lip gloss twist design.

The elongated arrow shape applicator is the key to even distribution and precise application of the gloss on every corners of your lip.

The arrow brush is in a flat curve arrow shape following the curve our lips ensuring gloss is apply onto every surface area of your lips. I had a big love for this brush not only to it’s innovative shape but it’s ultimate softness of the brush that glide on my lip smoothly without any friction encountered.

Lip lover has a buttery smooth texture like creamy finish lipstick but more dense and tacky thus more smooth than lipstick. Don’t get me wrong, it is tacky that what gloss is but it’s not stick at all!! It does not has opaque colour like lipstick do but it’s pigmented (one of the more pigmented lip gloss formula in my book), it’s like layer of sheer gloss on top of the pigmented pink base. Lip Lover is formulated using intelligent bi-phasic formula where its emulsion separates on application so the pigmented phase can fuse with lips while the glossy film rises to the surface to sublimely coat lips…

I got 337 Lip Lover shade comes with a hint of radiant fuchsia on a sweet pink finishing. It’s a very easy to match colour and it’s suitable for all skin tone. I would say this shade look more attractive during the day time especially for girls tea time! The glossy shade is buildable so it depends on you whether how sheer or thick you want it to be. There is no sparkles or shimmer in the gloss very near to cream lipstick shade but with extra shine and gloss.

For Lip Lover shade which belong to the Creative Chic family has a sweet rose scent perfected by powdery iris and violet accents. Totally sweet and addictive!

Let me tell you what make me go WOWwwww over this new lip lover, it’s non other than it’s smooth and non sticky texture with great colour paid off!! It’s so easy to glide on my lip, almost effortless!! The brush applicator material is so so soft…. Imagine those soft fur, way softer than my teddy bear’s fur I got from memory lane!!! The gloss keep my lip moisturised for more than 4 hour for sure, I have not tested 8 hour because by 4 hour the gloss is almost gone so I will usually touch up! I would say the gloss can last up to 4 hour if you did not eat or drink anything in between. If you eat then almost half the gloss is gone, if you did not retouch it will look quite sheer after eating…

It can be use as top coat on top of your lipstick, on it’s own or can be use to mixed with other shade in Lip lover range for a unique shade and finishing look! I love how both colour turn out it’s so pretty and sweet!!!! Totally kissable lip!

When used alone with just two swipe the colour really paid off…. if you want a lighter or more sheer result go with one swipe. Very close to what lipstick could produce but well it’s still lip gloss so it does get 100% colour pay off like lipstick do but I am impress as the colour pay off are one of the strongest one in my lip gloss collection minus those in trend lacquer lippie. As much as I love this shade, it’s not a new colour to me..I have many other lip gloss with almost similar shade so I might get the other shade next round, I’m thinking to get **316 Rose Attrape-cœur which is also one of the star shade.

Oh don’t you love the see through window and push button tube design too?? I fell in love with it and I feel so great to bring it out from my bag for touch up!! I just love how attention grabbing this lip gloss is, that people turns head to look to it!!!! It fit nicely even in my smallest clutch, lovely! So much love for this gloss…my man kinda jealous on it because Lip Lover get more attention from me!
