Pavilion Hotel KL by Banyan Tree Staycation Review

I am back with more awesome post on the blog and on Instagram too. I would like to thank everyone who shares their concern on our recent incident. We are still in trauma but definitely feeling a little bit better and hence returning to regular posting on all social medias. Just before the incident, we had a really nice staycation at Pavilion Hotel KL by Banyan Tree. So today let me share our review on Pavilion Hotel KL.

Being a travel lover at times I just want a really relaxing and easy holiday. The types that don’t require planning ahead. Staycation is exactly that, we booked d hotel over the weekend in the city we stay all the time. We love those that are in the vicinity to shopping malls or near to the area with great restaurant choices. Pavilion Hotel KL is one of those that with impeccable location. Located in the Golden Triangle just right next to my favourite shopping mall Pavilion (biggest Forever 21 in Msia). The parking is super convenient too and just within a few minutes walking distances to Pavilion and Fahrenheit & Lot 10 is just across.

OASIS COURTYARD ROOM

We checked in Oasis Courtyard, a spacious 409-463 sqft room with comfortable King Size Bed, large working table,  55″ Smart LED TV, capsule coffee machine and the must-have bathtub for every staycation.

We love the modern design of the room with creamy white color furniture and most importantly thick and comfortable mattress… We are especially particular on the mattress because we enjoy a good night of beauty sleep.

BATHROOM & TUB

The bathroom have a separate shower and bathtub, so you don’t have to stand in the tub to shower. The toileries bottle look really luxurious and I secretly wish to take them home!

In the evening, I will fill up the tub with hot water, throw in my preferred Lush Bath Bomb, melt the Lush Bath Oil, pop a bottle of wine and soak my evening away!

CLUB LOUNGE

After my luxurious bath soak, we chill on the bed watching a movie on HBO or FOX world before we hop to the lounge for an evening drink! In order to get access to the unlimited booze you got to book the club room, where there will be unlimited finger food, wine and beer served at the lounge. Normally we will just have our lunch there because we were so full from the large breakfast spread in the morning.

DINNER AT EBISU

We then slowly move to Ebisu for Chinese New Year Dinner. For this, I will talk more on a separate post. Expect a twist in your Japanese dish in Ebisu. There’s also bar with an extensive drink list to choose from.

DRINKS AT WHISKEY COVE

Right after the dinner we went back to our room to rest and clean up. Later in the night we have a date with our fellow friends over at Whisky Cove.

I ordered Smoked Pear Manhattan (on the right) , Infused Rittenhouse Rye, Infused Pear Syrup, Sweet Vermouth, Caramelized Orange Wheel & Pear. This drink is quite strong for me, not a lady drink. More like for guys. Then the bartender mixed a new cocktail for me that is not on the menu which is more light, sweet and fragrant too.

After a few drinks and long chat we were all feeling hungry. So, we ordered some food from the room service because it was pass midnight. If you are there early you can order food from Ebisu!

GYM & POOL

Call it a night and went for our beauty sleep. If you are into workout, you can definitely check out the gym or pool in the morning right before the breakfast feast.

I really enjoy the infinity pool and I love that there’s individual Gazebo where you can have more private time lazing by the pool.

BREAKFAST

After working out it’s time to feast on the breakfast spread. There’s a huge spread from local to international food station. For those who want healthy breakfast with less carbs there’s muesli, yogurt and fruits too. I really love the concept where they place all the serving pot on top of heating pad keeping the food warm.

We enjoy the omelet and Nasi Lemak here. Thomas said the sambal sotong is really delicious. Though we still think there is room for improvement for the breakfast spread and staff service, we did enjoy the breakfast!

BANYAN TREE SPA

Phewww… So full after breakfast!! I also managed to book a spa session in the evening at the Banyan Tree Spa. I’ll talk about that on a separate post.

Let me bring you to a quick tour around the hotel facilities and other rooms. For couple, the Urban Studio is a great choice and those with family can consider Urban Suite.

For now, I’ll be signing off, thank you for reading this Pavilion Hotel KL review. We really had so much fun during this staycation. A perfect weekend retreat for us! They are doing opening promo now with special promo price. So do call them up to check the price for the room you prefer!

That was so nice of the bartender to mix up a new drink for you that suited your taste buds more. I would so love to book the studio room for myself. I don’t really know what happened except that you had to experience a rough patch, but I am glad you are recovering from it. All the best my dear.
