Planning a Wedding in 2020
Due to the current pandemic, a lot of couples have to redefine or postpone their wedding plans. There are many ways to change plans, either to postpone the wedding or move forward in an adjusted manner, but one overlooked proposition is to plan an elopement instead.
We usually think of elopements as an unplanned, spur of the moment, event that happen with little thought, but this is not always the case. You can plan for an elopement and make it just as meaningful as a traditional wedding. In fact, you should take some time to plan it to make sure it is just as special as any other wedding.
You will still need to plan to make sure all the legal details are in order, and you don’t want to skip hiring a photographer to capture the magic of your intimate wedding. You should also plan ahead to send out wedding announcements to share your excitement with the world.
People love eloping for many reasons. It is a smaller ceremony, which means it is focused on the love you share with your partner with no distractions. There is no worry about things going wrong or problems that need to be fixed. You also have more say in the planning because you don’t need to make relatives happy, and that includes the location, which now doesn’t have to accommodate a large crowd.
You will also save money on an elopement because there are fewer costs. There is no large meal to prepare, decorations to fill a large venue or other expenses associated with the reception.
