Bath & Body Works Mad About You Shower Gel Review

Hey girlssss…Today, I am going to talk about this Bath & Body Works Mad About You Shower Gel. First off, I have been thinking that this shower gel is made from scent until today when I draft this post I went on Bath & Body Works (BBW) to check on the details and find out it is NOT!!!!!! Actually, I ask the sale assistant of BBW if there is any rose base shower gel and she show me this… I look at the bottle and I saw the flower does look like rose and I had a sniff.. It does smell like rose so I did not purchase it the first round. When I went there again, I have a 20% discount so I thought I would buy one to try it out. So I did not really read the description as I saw the flower picture on the bottle does look like rose. Then….Today I read on the BBW website, there is no rose in the shower gel. Yes not even a little bit of rose. I was a little mad, the staff should know their product well. Even if you don’t, you can just mentioned you are not sure and read on the description before informing the customer. I heard when they first launch the staff was not informative as well but I expect after so long the staff should be well trained on their product already..Totally disappointing….

Alright back to the shower gel, It’s amazing….. I love it so much that I have been using it for almost a month now… This shower gel will leave your skin clean and soft filled with bursting fragrance of soft peonies & black currant with creamy vanilla musk. It contains Aloe Vera, vitamin E and Shea Butter which helps to keep your skin moisturised.

It comes in a pink clear gel with medium consistency. Not overly thick but good enough to lather. I don’t need a lot for my whole body maybe just a 2cm dollop size for my entire body. The scent is a combination of the following notes.

• Top Notes: Black Currant, Luscious Strawberry, Sparkling Cassis
• Mid Notes: Ginger Lily, Bright Peony, Pink Jasmine
• Dry Notes: Amber Wood, White Patchouli, Vanilla Musk

That’s really a lot of notes in one shower gel..LOL… Honestly, i can’t really tell the scent I smell when I used it on my body. It like a mixture of sweet and floral scent, maybe a little bit of fruity scent too.. I can’t smell any musk or vanilla scent though…Probably already mixed in.. Well, even though it does not contain any rose scent or ingredient I still love the scent.. The more I use it the more I like the scent…

It comes in a clear bottle with a push cap which makes dispensing really convenient. I really appreciate the clear bottle as it help indicate the content of the shower so that I will know when I need to replace my shower gel. I can see that the material they use for the bottle is really good and that the label were using a water resistant material so you won’t have those paper residue coming off when it wet.

Alright, I really love this shower gel… I love everything about it….I love the scent, the texture and the feeling of using it. It cleanse my body well and I don’t need alot of it to lather, a little goes a long way…  However, I don’t feel the shower gel like really really moisturised my skin but my skin don’t feel dry la… I think I might repurchase this if there is sales else I find the price a little too expensive for 295 ml, Victoria Secrets shower gel is cheaper and bigger bottle too…
