Singapore Business Trip Part 1 : Stay at Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel
Today while I was tidying my pictures files, I realize I have not post anything on my Singapore Business Trip. During this trip I had the best food in my life and the best traveling experience ever. Why? because it is all paid by my generous company. Thanks to my company for giving me this opportunity.
I have to start writing all my experiences before I forget as I didn’t wrote down any notes like my other trip. Well it still Singapore not like Europe, don’t quite of appreciate it too much…
Let begin with my first week in Singapore.
I remembered staying in Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel near to Haverlock road. It is categorized as 5 star hotel, perhaps the facilities provided do contribute to the star but the room condition did not. Furniture is old even some of the marble piece in the bath room is peeled off. It need a revamp. What can I say, hotel in Singapore is selling fast and it is very expensive compared to other country. For a superior double room here cost about SGD 250++ per night depends on season.
The stay here wasn’t too bad except that for the money I pay, I’d expect something more…The bed is comfortable, LCD TV and the bath tub is great with hot water. The pool is very well decorated but not too good for swimming my laps since its oval in shape. The Jacuzzi massage is too light for my liking and during evening there is a lot of mosquito at the corner…
Me enjoying the Jacuzzi
Swimming pool in the evening..
I actually request to change my room as I was supposed to stay in a room facing river view. The staff was very kind, they immediately change for me the next morning.
The view from my room
The breakfast spread is great with varieties of choices like hams, sausages, smoke salmon, pastry, breads, porridge, cheese, salad, soup, fruits, milk and juices.
A few dinner, I opt to order ala-carte from the hotel where I will dine beside the pool after swimming. Well not too much expectation for hotel food right? The western food on the menu was not too bad…Alright to fill my empty stomach….
Spaghetti Bolognaise
Caesar Salad
Off course I wouldn’t miss tasting their dinner buffet…A wide range I’d say. Ahhh I remember the big fresh oyster..tangy and juicy…Dessert was good too…Can’t recall too much..Well don’t blame me for the photo quality..I’m using iphone3G to snap the picture…
Well I can’t recall every bits of memories in Singapore but will share out which ever i remember..Lucky there is some photo captured on my FB timeline. These photos helps recall my lost memories…Stay tune…this is only the 1st part, more delicious post on the way…I will mix SG and Korea trip experience in between so it wont bored all my readers…
