Facial Cotton Guides + Review

Hey lovelies… I wanted to share with all of you on the facial cotton that I use for a long time.. but everytime a new product or event came out and I forgot about this entirely…guilty as charged ><

I use facial cotton to apply toner and remove eye makeup and sometime face makeup (if I am using micellar water) and also to remove nail polish. Before this I have always use only one type of facial cotton for all application but now I have special facial cotton type for different application.

For Nail Polish Removal

Long time ago I use those very basic facial cotton (like the one in above picture from Watson, No. 1) that you can get at major supermarket or pharmacies…. I use this for all application during my college time… After I discover a new type of facial cotton (well it was new at time), those with a few layers and will not separates I never used those basic facial cotton for face application anymore only for nail polish removal. The reason why I switch to the newer type was because the basic one always separates. The cottons will peel off part by part and stick on my face when I applying toner on my face and seriously hate that feeling… So now I only use the basic type for nail polish removal as there are way cheaper…

For Face Make Up Removal

Later on I found the one from Etude House (No. 3) and I fall in love with them… I have been using it for years (5-6 years) now and I always buy them during the Buy 1 Free 1 promo making them the cheapest option available at about RM 4++ for 80pcs. The one from Etude House has a threading on both edge thus the cotton will not separate… One side is rougher and one side is finer…I use the finer side for eye and face makeup removal and the rougher for  lipstick removal which also help scrub away some dead skin on my lips…. If I am not using for lipstick removal I will peel off the rougher layer and use it to remove eye makeup… Sometime when I apply glitter nail polish I will also use the rough side to remove the glitter away….Its way more effective to use the rough side of the cotton to remove those stubbon glitters on my nails…

Recently I found another option from Jusco. It only available on those Jusco with their own pharmacy. It only cost me RM 2.75 each and has 100pcs in it… I got mine from Jusco, Maluri I guess Jusco Midvalley and Jusco Sunway Pyramidmight have too… This cotton does not have the rougher side both side feels the same and in fact more softer compare to Etude House ones….

and Jusco ones also thicker…I am switching to this because it’s cheaper and softer too…

You can also get this type of facial cotton from Daiso at RM 5.30 for 80pcs slightly more expensive but if you in need of one and couldn’t find the Jusco ones and Etude House has no promo then Daiso is your best bet…or you can also go to Sasa, they have one in 240pcs big package of this type of cotton which cost RM 12++ so if you divide it to 3 then you can get almost the similar price of Etude House’s Facial Cotton when they have sale.

So let me summarize here for you the option available:
Jusco (also know as AEON) (100pcs) – RM 2.75
Etude House (80pcs) – RM 8.90 (always have Buy 1 Free 1 promo, just wait for it)
Daiso (80pcs) – RM 5.30
Sasa (240pcs)- RM 12++

In terms of quality I like Etude house and Jusco ones the most… Etude House because of the rough side and Juso because it’s really soft…. Sasa one I have never try so I have no comments….

For Applying Toner

Before I discover this new premium cotton range from Watson (No. 4) I uses Etude House ones for tonner application.. After I discover this I switch to this as it’s a waste to use the thick ones for toner application… This one from Watson comes in one thin layer just nice for toner application… It cost RM 5.90 for 180 pcs...

There you go all the type of facial cotton available in the market…..so which is your favorite? I hope this is helpful for you…. Till my next post….
