In actual, the gloss stain has a shiny gold packaging instead of the metallic packaging. That is because of my flash which wash away the gold hue of the packaging. Let me show you the picture of the actual packaging of the gloss stain I taken from L’Oreal Website. I love the packaging a lot, as it look very classic and expensive. The gold shiny bottle symbolize something expensive and the middle L’Oreal name plate add a nice touch to it. The window panel enable me to see the real colour inside the bottle.
The gloss stain gives the best of both world by combining lip stain and lip gloss luster that get your lip filled with shimmering flecks. It is formulated with light hydration oils and concentrated pigments that delivers lasting colour with glossy finish. Packed with 30% water, Colour Caresse Wet Shine Stain leaves lips soft, comfortable and hydrated for up to 6 hours.
When apply on lip it felt like a liquid lipstick with a slight watery feeling on the lip… It’s almost melting on my lip as I swipe it across my lip and absorb pretty fast. It’s true that these babies keep my lip hydrated for six hours and all of them leave a pigmented stain on my lip. The applicator is in a leaf shape which makes applying very easy and it is made from very soft hair. It has a hole in the middle of the leaf shape which will pick up excess product when applying it onto lip. What I like about this lip stain is that it has a pigmented colour but not overboard, the colour still look natural. You get what I mean? Usually those lip stain colour can get a little too bold and not really suitable for everyday use. This gloss stain on the other hand being really moisturising on the lip it give a very natural and light colour finishing with shimmering flecks on my lip. Even after eating the top glossy layer will be gone but the stain remain on the lip.
Let me show you the swatch on my lip.
Luna is a very like pink colour with almost sheer finishing. This colour is good to just to give a hint of colour to the lip.
Flora is very similar to Luna but brighter and more pink compared to Luna. I prefer this colour over Luna for natural look as my lip is quite pink by its own.
Cherie don’t look red to me from the bottle. It look like fuchsia pink to me but turn out to be a red Cherie colour.
Ruby is a deep red colour that makes one look fair when apply. I like this colour too as the colour is quite vibrant.
In conclusion, I really love the finishing of this gloss stain. It also keep my lip feeling moisturised, lip does not crack at all even after a long hour wearing it. Also it’s very easy to apply (because of the natural colour) and the pigmented colour is a plus point.
That’s the end of my review. Let me know if you have this as well, tell me which shade you have okay? Bye Bye Muacks.
