Fat Spoon @ Damansara Uptown

I was so glad that Senri invited me to this food review. A very warm and homey ambience. I totally in love wit the restaurant arrangement.

 

Fat Spoon was made successful by two sister Michelle and Melissa. Fat Spoon were filled with childhood memories with polaroid pictures, vintage utensil, vintage furniture and some old skool books too. Nyonya delicacies is what they do best beside it get more interesting when they made a little twist and add some modernity onto each dish. The best part of all, the price is so affordable.

Love it when the Wifi password is displayed clearly on the board!! Save the hassle to ask around!

The table is decorated with lovely flower and candle which prepare me a very relax mood to start my meal at Fat Spoon. All of us get to try their new menu that yet to launch, what a privilege for blogger!

ahhhh such a relief after a long day at work!!

 

We snacked on the crisp skin and mushy filling of “ Pumpkin Fritters ” and gulp down the cool and refreshing “ Watermelon Blend ”. Best combination ever!!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Before we indulge in our meal, we were being presented each dish in full portion. So all blogger snap and snap. The sister is so thoughtful to let us show you readers how full portion will look like and later they serve another mini portion of combination of three dishes in one plate. Read further to see how cute the mini portion can be.

Before that, let’s welcome the first dish the “ Moo Moo Rice Bowl ”. It’s obvious beef strip it incorporated into it with a tossed of basil. The Moo Moo strips is lay on top of steam rice along with fried runny egg. It taste exactly like what my mum used to cook at home “Ginger & Shitake Mushroom Chicken “ but this is with Moo Moo instead. Delicious beef but rice was too hard and dry!

Second on the menu were “Fat Salmon Sandwich”. Not sure whether salmon is Fat or the sandwich is Fat.

Oh wait!!!!It’s that sandwich? Rub eyes…

Yes Salmon, Apple slices and Lettuce sandwiched in between two sesame Burger Bun!

Owhh yes both salmon and sandwich are Fat!!! But no worries Ladies and Guys, the sandwich is filled with healthy Salmon that is rich in Omega 3 so you can gobble a few without worrying it will spoiled your diet plan!

The sister kick away the Cucumber and replace with Apple, a brilliant choice. The apple bring a hint of sweetness and fresh salmon gives sea sweet taste when I sink my teeth onto Fat Salmon Sandwich. The down side was the bun is rather to air dried, I have a  hard time biting it apart. Perhaps they prepare in bulk and the bun is exposed to air for some time.

Final dish is something I always cooked for my Lunchbox to bring to office BUT this is something different! Not the usual Bolognaise or Carbonara!!

The “ Tamarind Prawn Angel Hair ” Not the usual sour tomato paste or the creamy sauce, instead sweet and sour tamarind sauce coat the strand of angel hair with lots of fried onion, coriander leaves and ginger flowers. The taste very similar to the Thai Style Pad Thai, but the angel hair is rather too oily. It’s totally different when I suck on the sauce that coats the Tamarind Prawn. It was so juicy and the sourish sauce match the prawn sweetness so well! Never taste such delicious prawn yet.

 

As what I mentioned earlier here is the mini portion specially made for us! Wonder, I can go back and order three different dish and put into this mini dish again?

I guess my flash is not working that well!! I need a new flash already!

 

I love this mini dish especially the mini Fat Salmon Sandwich!

Was very satisfy with the meal, till we were serve with “ The Last Polka’s Salted Gula Melaka Ice Cream with Sago Pudding ”

Enjoy the sweetness of the gula melaka as always but too much would be too sweet for me… But it was good that there is sago pudding that go along with the ice cream where I can have more of it!!!

To calm our taste bud after all tasty dishes, “ Pandan Lemon Grass Tea ” was serve on our table. Need less to say this end my entire meal real well!

A cute paper were given for us to color our feedbacks! Too cute!!
