G3 Kitchen & Bar
It was only once or twice we ladies can hang out due to our insane working schedule…One of the Friday night we manage to spare out a few hour to have dinner together. We decided Bangsar to be the location. We meet each other near the neighbour housing area after we parked our car….As usual I can hardly find a space in front of those shop rows..
We walk across few restaurant and decided to dine at G3 Kitchen & Bar as it seems there’s a huge crowds of diners…
walking into the restaurant, I am impressed with all the ingredient, spices and sauces placed on the racks..
Three of us..Cat, Jacq and Me
I have always crave for a nice plate of Paella in Malaysia ever since I tried it in one of the Spanish Restaurant in UK. Paella is a Spanish classic dish where a grain rice were cook in pan fill with tomato, onion, olive oil, saffron, smoky paprika. Paella come in few types like Valencian Paella, Seafood Paella and Mixed Paella.
For me of course the Seafood Paella…
Lots of clams and mussels cooked together with the rice. This paella contain more seafood than rice which is unusual (its always vice versa). The concentrated tomato, onion, garlic, olive oil, green peas, saffron, smoky paprika has totally infused into the rice. Slightly moist and a little bit mushy but still taste great…
Cat ordered Seafood Spaghetti, the light version where I don’t usually order…The spaghetti were tossed in olive oil and generous amount of clams, prawns and squids were add into the spaghetti. Cat loves the fresh clams on top of the spaghetti… For me, i think the spaghetti taste a bit bland maybe I still prefer carbonara. However i still loves the seafood wraps with the olive oil as it just nice and does not overpowering the seafood. Thus, the seafood freshness is well tasted…
Jacq order something simple, she like simplicity…And so ham, bacon and egg sandwiched with white bread. Actually there is few type of bread to choose from like whole grain bread…When we were waiting for the food, we can smell the wonderful aroma of the bread fresh from the oven. Unfortunately this dish does not portray that…. The bread was hard and aerated…the ham and bacon taste common….the fries is cold too..I think they let the sandwich sit on the serving bar for some time before serving to us!!
I will come back for their spaghetti and paella BUT definitely not the sandwich unless they promise to serve the sandwich to use immediately after it is DONE!! On thing bad is we waited for almost 45 minute before the food is served…that’s quite disappointing…

ohh, looks like they need to do something about the service here. but i guess the chef in the kitchen is good … both the paella and the pasta look very nicely loaded with seafood! 😀
